What is it?
The Teen Employment Program is partnering with the city’s revitalization effort to offer special training and paid work projects for Scottsdale teens. The S.T.O.M.P Work projects will take place throughout southern and central Scottsdale.
What kind of work projects?
Work projects will take place outside of Scottsdale homes. Projects could include general yard cleanup, painting, trimming vegetation, basic landscaping, converting grass to rock landscapes, etc.
Are the Teens paid?
Yes, once the preliminary hiring process is complete, teens will be considered part time temporary employees of City of Scottsdale. The teens will be paid $8-10 for every hour they work on a S.T.O.M.P project.
Will teens be supervised?
At least one city staff member will supervise the teen crew. Teens will also work in various group sizes depending on the project. There will always be adult supervision present.
Program Orientation/Training
This training will prepare and equip the teens for the work projects. Training will encompass all of the needed skills to prepare the teens for various revitalization duties.
