What are the qualifications?
Homeowners must be age 55 or older, or be receiving disability to qualify. Assistance is provided to those who meet low and moderate-income standards met by The Department of Housing and Urban Development.

What documents can be used to verify income?
- Tax returns (W-2 forms, Additional tax documentation)
- Paycheck stubs (3 most recent paychecks)
- 3 most recent bank statements (For interest, statement is fine; If it is being used as proof of social security, pensions, etc…, then this money must be listed as such; it may not simply say “deposit”)
- Monthly Award letters / Year end statements (Benefits, Social Security, Pensions, and Disability)
- Notarized letters stipulating that a member of the household is not employed

How often can the homeowner request assistance?
Each issue can be addressed one time per fiscal year. However, if a homeowner is cited a second time within the fiscal year for a different issue, STOMP can return to assist that client for this new issue.
STOMP can return in subsequent fiscal years for an issue previously resolved, provided that the homeowner has taken steps in between.

What type of work can be done by STOMP?
All issues must relate to an issue that could potentially be in violation of code regulations. This includes: Weeding, trimming of vegetation, fence repair/replacement, painting, assisting with storage issues, bulk trash clean-up, converting to a rock landscape

What if the citation is not able to be completed by the teen due to lack of training or the nature of the work?
If the job requires assistance outside the realm of what a teen can do then an outside contractor may be hired based on the regulations of the city.

What are some tasks that the teens can not perform and that need to be contracted out?
A contractor is used for any job that a standard 14-year-old teen can not do with the use of a general household tool or if the job could endanger the safety of the teen. The majority is major tree trimming/removal, working with pools, spraying for bees.

$8.00 - $10.00 / hour, based on age and job capabilities set forth by child labor laws.
