Food

Bread Distribution:  Pastries and bagels are available at the Via Linda Senior Center Tuesday-Friday at 8:15 am.  Donations are made by Wildflower Bakery.  

Food Plus Program: Provides one box of essential staple groceries to participating individuals once a month. There is no charge for this service, however specific eligibility requirements need to be met.  Call 480-312-2323 for information and registration.

Food Stamps and AHCCCS Eligibility:  Applications for AHCCCS and food stamps are taken at Vista del Camino on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.   Please call the Department of Economic Security Office at 480-831-1408 for an appointment.

Home Delivered Meals:  A hot nutritious meal for homebound seniors can be provided five days a week.  Please call the Area Agency on Aging at 602-264-4357 for more information and registration. 

Scottsdale Congregate Meals:  Tempe Community Action Agency provides a hot nutritious meal at the Granite Reef Senior Center Monday through Friday.  All participants must reserve their meal in advance by calling 480-312-1724.  Suggested contribution for meals is $3.50 for persons age 60 and over. 

Scottsdale Brown Bag Gleaners:  Provides participants with one sack of groceries each week except during the months of July and August of each year. Bags are available after 8:30 am on Thursday mornings. The membership fee is $30 per year.  Call 480-312-1700 for more information and to register.
