Computer Programs
Classes
The Scottsdale Senior Centers offer a variety of computer programs and classes. Classes include Introduction to Computers, Intermediate Windows, Word Processing and Introduction to the Internet. Both the Granite Reef and Via Linda Senior Centers also offer a full line of specialty topic computer workshops.
SeniorNet
SeniorNet is a nonprofit national organization that provides the City of Scottsdale computer curriculum for classes and workshops at the Via Linda Senior Center. SeniorNet's mission is to provide older adults education and access to computer technology by offering a variety of classes from basic introduction to more advanced computer courses. Volunteers at Via Linda Senior Center use this curriculum and knowledge for instructing and assisting students enrolled in these classes. To become a computer lab volunteer call 480-312-5810.
Specialty Topic Workshops
Specialty topic workshops are one-day workshops that focus on specific computer subjects.

Open Labs
Open computer lab times are offered to provided the public with opportunities to utilize the city's computer equipment at your own pace. Generally, open lab times are staffed by volunteers. Open labs are offered at the following facilities:
Paiute Neighborhood Center
Tuesdays, from 9:30 to 11:30 am
Granite Reef Senior CenterWednesdays & Fridays, from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm
