ORIGINAL MESSAGE:
The Partnership for a Drug-Free America, Arizona Affiliate
in collaboration with the Northeast Valley Coalition Against Methamphetamine is hosting a video contest to engage students in a fun and creative way to share information.
U B The Rent contest is about giving teens a voice. It is about tuning parents in to what really goes on in a teen’s life whether they create a video about being approached to try drugs or how they see friends using drugs, this contest gives teens a voice to make parents more aware about the issues they face or the lifestyle they lead.
The Northeast Valley Coalition Against Methamphetamine, Youth Advisory Committee will be judging the contest entries from the Coalition communities (Carefree, Cave Creek, Fort McDowell Yavapai Nation, Fountain Hills, Paradise Valley, Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community and Scottsdale). Three finalists will be selected to move on to the state-wide contest. The Coalition will be awarding iTunes gift cards to the finalist. A grand prizewinner from across Arizona will be chosen from the entries and the winner will receive a new iPod video nano.
