Business Safety Programs

The City of Scottsdale's Citizen & Neighborhood Resources Department offers training, security surveys, and proactive problem solving of your safety concerns. 

Business Security Surveys

This survey is a FREE service to any Scottsdale business.  We will check:

  • Lights
  • Locks
  • Landscaping

We will also review internal procedures to make your business as safe as possible.   The survey takes approximately one hour, depending on the size of your business.

Employee Training

Once you schedule your training, we will recommend the most appropriate employee prevention training, including:

  • Shoplifting
  • Armed Robbery
  • Fraud
  • Violence in the Workplace
  • Employee Personal Safety

Crime Free Multi-Housing

This three phase program is designed for rental properties to develop a safer community.

  • Phase 1:  Owners and managers attend a FREE 8-hour class
  • Phase 2:  A FREE on-site check of your facility is conducted to ensure Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED) standards are met.
  • Phase 3:  The completion of the program is celebrated on-site with residents, management, and police.
