The access card goes into effect in July. As a cost-recovery measure for the system, users will be charged $26 for six months’ access. There will be an $8 fee for replacement cards. Drop-in rates are available for $1 a day. The monitoring system tracks users as they enter the facility.\nThe city is hosting a pair of information meetings about the monitoring system. They will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 23, and 6 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 28. Both meetings will be at the McDowell Mountain Ranch Aquatic and Fitness Center, 15525 N. Thompson Peak Parkway. Those unable to attend the meetings can learn more and comment at http://www.scottsdaleaz.gov/parks/skate.
