The access card goes into effect in July. As a cost-recovery measure for the system, users will be charged $26 for six months’ access. There will be an $8 fee for replacement cards. Drop-in rates are available for $1 a day. The monitoring system tracks users as they enter the facility.\nThe city is hosting a pair of information meetings about the monitoring system. They will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 23, and 6 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 28. Both meetings will be at the McDowell Mountain Ranch Aquatic and Fitness Center, 15525 N. Thompson Peak Parkway.
