CITY SEEKING COMMUNITY INPUT ON ZONING ORDINANCE DEFINITIONS AND SECURITY FENCING
Residents are invited to attend an open house to discuss proposed changes that would establish a more useful and easy-to-understand zoning ordinance.
Two open houses are planned -- Dec. 10 and Dec. 14, both from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at the One Civic Center’s planning review conference room, 7447 E. Indian School Road.
Staff representatives will be available at both sessions to provide information and respond to questions about the proposed zoning ordinance text amendment that would update certain definitions to make them easier to understand. They include: development project, high rise building, light shield, pool hall, recreational use, school, swimming pool, tattoo, and zoning administrator, general manager and director.
Other discussion will pertain to security enhancements to walls and fences, e.g. barbed wire, razor wire, razor ribbon, concertina wire and similar security wire.
