About
Mountain View Park is a 20-acre park that has a lighted outdoor full size basketball court, 2 lighted tennis courts, 2 desert-landscaped picnic areas, a sand volleyball court, a lighted softball field, 3 soccer fields, a shaded playground, restroom, and a 12 station fitness trail. If you would like to use the drop-in tennis courts, there are additional rules that apply.
Mountain View Community Center
Mountain View Community Center is a 12,000 square feet facility that offers 2 activity rooms, a kitchen, a stage that may be rented for private use, and a ½ basketball court for drop-in use.
After-school Programs
Elementary Program
Mountain View Community Center offers a free, drop-in after-school program for 1st - 6th graders. Hours are Monday through Friday, 2:15 - 6:00pm. Activities include but are not limited to: arts & crafts, sports, tournaments, cooking, games, and homework time. This is a drop-in program where children are free to come and go as they wish. Registration is required.Teen Program
Mountain View Community Center offers free drop in recreation for 6th - 12th graders. Hours during the school year are Monday through Friday, 6-9pm and summer are Monday through Friday, 4-9pm.
Youth Corps
The Youth Corps is a summer teen volunteer program designed for 6th -12th graders. Teens may serve their community while learning about various city jobs during their summer assignment.
Facility Allocation Policy
Youth Sports Organizations that meet the Facility Allocation Policy and Fee Waiver Form (pdf/284kb/9pp) guidelines may reserve the baseball, softball, and soccer fields by calling Chris Thom at (480) 312-7968.
Reservation Information
The maximum group size at Mountain View Park is 200 outside and 400 inside. The large multi-purpose room is available for rental. For facility reservations, please call the Facility Booking office at (480) 312-7707.
