Public meetings

(Public meeting times are subject to change or cancellation.) 

City Council – Live coverage begins at 4 p.m. Dec. 1 and 5 p.m. Dec. 2. These meetings replay consecutively the following Saturday starting at 1 p.m. Live coverage of the Dec. 8 meeting begins at 5 p.m. and replays the following Friday at 5 p.m. Council meetings are closed captioned. 

Development Review Board – Live coverage begins at 1 p.m. Dec. 1 and 15.

Human Relations Commission – Live coverage begins at 5 p.m. on Dec. 12.

Planning Commission – Live coverage begins at 5 p.m. Dec. 14. Meetings replay the following Saturday at 5 p.m.

Tourism Development Commission – Live coverage begins at 8 a.m. Dec. 20.

Transportation Commission – Live coverage begins at 6 p.m. Dec. 15.

2016 Veterans Day Commemoration – Bob Parsons, founder of GoDaddy and decorated U.S. Marine Corps Vietnam Veteran, headlines this program honoring veterans from all branches of the armed services. Tuesdays at 8 a.m., noon, 4, 7, and 10 p.m.; Fridays at 10 a.m., 2, 6 and 9 p.m.

Arizona Supreme Court – Watch the oral arguments in the Arizona Supreme Court Case of Courtney Cramer v. Hon. Starr/Munguia/Bejarano. Wednesdays at 10 a.m., 2, 6 and 9 p.m.

The Collaborative Road to Restoring Arizona's Forests – Join Lin Sue Cooney and Arizona business, academic and forest health leaders on a journey through the state's forests and the work needed to be done to protect these vast wildlands and the water they supply. Liquid Assets – Explore the history, engineering, and political and economic challenges of our water infrastructure. Saturdays at 9 a.m., 1, 5, 8, and 11 p.m.

Maricopa Now – Stories about students, faculty, administrators and policymakers who make up the 10 campuses and two skill centers within the Maricopa County Community Colleges Districts.  Thursdays at 9 a.m., 1, 5, 8, and 11 p.m.

Maricopa Sports – Reports from all the Valley Community Colleges on sports programs available to students.  Thursdays at 9:30 a.m., 1:30, 5:30, 8:30, and 11:30 p.m.

Mayor and Council Breakfast - Mayor W.J. “Jim” Lane and the members of the Scottsdale City Council hold an informative and enlightening discussion regarding economic development activities and business successes in our community. No Burn Day? Don’t Burn Wood! – Diamondbacks announcer Jeff Munn moderates a discussion on keeping the valley’s air clean with an emphasis on “no burn” days. Tuesdays at 9:30 a.m., 1:30, 5:30, 8:30, and 11:30 p.m.

Perspectives – Scottsdale Councilwoman Linda Milhaven hosts a discussion on the topic of the Desert Discovery Center. "Perspectives" are discussions arranged and presented by members of the Scottsdale City Council. Opinions expressed on these programs are those of the participants, and do not necessarily reflect the opinions of the Scottsdale City Council or city of Scottsdale. Roof Rats & Bees: What do you do? - Officials from Maricopa County Environmental Services answer common questions about roof rats and bees around your home. Sundays at 10:30 a.m., 2:30, 6:30, and 9:30 p.m.

Scottsdale Artbeat: Patti Hannon - Spontaneous, clever and outrageously fun, the record-breaking Late Nite Catechism has been running every season at Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts since 2000. Meet Patti Hannon, who stars as Sister, in a sit-down interview. Fridays at 8 a.m., noon, 4, 7, and 10 p.m.

Scottsdale Philharmonic – Enjoy a performance of traditional classical music by Arizona’s premier philharmonic orchestra. The Scottsdale Philharmonic is a professional symphony orchestra that performs free concerts several times per year to promote the cultural environment of Scottsdale. Sprinkler's Clubhouse – Sprinkler the clown educates children on safety in the home, at school and at play.  Daily at 7 and 7:30 a.m. 

STEM Pro Live! – A STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) professional gives a short tour of their workplace and talks about their STEM journey. The second half of each episode is dedicated to the STEM professional answering questions from students that were submitted in real time during the original live broadcast. STEM Pro Live! is a partnership between Maricopa County Education Service Agency and American Graduate—Arizona PBS. Thursdays at 8 and 8:30 a.m., noon, 12:30, 4 ,4:30, 7, 7:30, 10 and 10:30 p.m.

Third Annual Cure Corridor Luncheon – This event celebrates the innovation of high technology companies on the Cure Corridor which are breaking new ground in healthcare and bio-life science while changing the way business invests in the startup landscape. Keynote speaker Jonathan Fleming of NEHI – the Network for Excellence in Health Innovation - discusses venture capital and investment in private development in this rapidly evolving industry.
