Water rebates make cents. Scottsdale has issued nearly $3 million in water rebates since the program's 1992 inception. Rebates are available for installing WaterSense-labeled irrigation controllers, showerheads, toilets and urinals and for removing water-intensive warm-season turf, in-ground pools/spas and water softeners. Funds are limited.
Library presents "Frank Talks on Ideas that Matter: Securing the Borders and Stopping Terrorism." This free program addresses a variety of issues pertaining to border control. It takes place from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 27, at Mustang Library. Seating is limited to 25.
