Chaparral Pool, Scottsdale's seasonal aquatic center, opens May 20 for the summer season! Located at 5401 N Hayden Road (at Chaparral Park), Chaparral Pool is a perfect place to cool off this summer.
May 20 is the first date you can swim at Chaparral, and to kick off summer we're throwing 'The Big Splash at Chap' from 3 - 9 p.m. that day. Entrance to the pool for public swim is FREE, and we will showcase sample swim lessons, CPR demonstrations, safety skills and games. We'll be serving up hot dogs and provide water and lemonade to drink. (You are welcome to bring your own snacks and drinks as well.) When the sun goes down, we'll set up an outdoor movie screen, and show Disney's "Moana" for all to enjoy. Click here to learn more about 'The Big Splash at Chap'. (A special thank you goes to the Scottsdale Firefighters Association for making 'The Big Splash at Chap' possible!)
Starting May 21, the schedule for Chaparral will be:
- Monday - Thursday: Lap Swim from 8 - 11 a.m. Lessons and Recreation Team practice will be from 8 - 11 a.m. and 4 - 7 p.m. (Learn about both by visiting our online program website: Recreation.ScottsdaleAZ.gov)
