Green Building Expo

The City has recently postponed its 2008 & 2009 Green Building Expos to redefine outreach efforts as we plan for the future of development in Scottsdale.

Recognized internationally for their Green Building initiatives and leadership, Scottsdale’s Green Building Program will forego two years of planning/coordinating regional green building expos to spend time retooling processes, enhancing services, and demonstrating support for other Green Building venues currently planned within the valley. Other venues include:

GBExpologo

  • Green Summit - September 5-6, 2008
  • Southwest Build It Green Expo – March 13-15, 2009
  • USGBC Green Build International Expo and Conference – November 11-13, 2009

In addition to the above events, Scottsdale actively hosts or supports other environmental programs such as:

  • Monthly Solar and Green Building Lecture Series
  • Fall and Spring Sustainable and Solar Home Tour
  • Design Day, an event for southern Scottsdale home owners that encourages energy efficiency, water conservation and healthy home remodeling
  • Various other outreach efforts held in conjunction with community organizations and professional associations

Scottsdale’s Green Building Program welcomes homeowners, potential home buyers, architects, designers, builders, realtors and green enthusiasts to participate in any of the above events and education sessions. This is a great opportunity to discover the multitude of green resources that are available in your community!
