Every year, there are nearly 100 water-related incidents in Maricopa County alone. At least half of these incidents involve children and at least half of these events end in fatality.

All drowning deaths are preventable and those that occur in your home are where your immediate action can make a difference. Home pool fencing and effective supervision can reduce these tragic drowning deaths to zero immediately.

The Scottsdale Fire Department is targeting every home pool owner with a basic reminder to check, fix and maintain their home pool in order to eliminate child drowning.
