Station Visits, Ridealongs and Special Events
Station Tours
The public is welcome to visit any of the Scottsdale fire stations. All 15 fire stations are open during normal business hours (8 a.m. - 5 p.m.) for tours.
To best accomodate groups, please contact the Scottsdale Fire Department Community Relations Division to schedule your tour.
Birthday parties and meetings are not hosted in the stations. However, the public is invited to include a station tour as part of your event.
Please note: Crews are in service and if an emergency call is received, they will have to close the station. They may also be arriving late due to an emergency situation.
Visitors to the station also are welcome to request blood pressure checks, informational brochures and other learning aids.

Ridealongs
The Scottsdale Fire Department maintains a ridealong program so that members of the community may become familiar with day-to-day Fire operations and to increase public awareness of the department's function in the community.
Riders must be at least 18 years of age. Riders may not ride more than once every 6 months.
The ridealong is a four-hour ride. Riders who report to the fire station who appear to be sick, have the odor of alcohol or the appearance of being under the influence of drugs will not be allowed to ride. Riders must be dressed appropriately with long pants and closed-toed shoes.
Riders must follow the firefighters directions at all times. Any violation of these rules will be subject to the termination of the ride and probable preclusion from future ridealongs.
Scottsdale Fire Department reserves the right to refuse participation in the Ridealong Program at any time for any reason.
Please allow 30 days for the ridealong to be processed.
To schedule a ridealong please fill out the online request form.
Special Events
Scottsdale Fire Department participates in several events sponsored by outside agencies throughout the year when staff is available. This includes a scheduling speaker for a meeting, staffing a booth with educational materials, or requesting a visit from a fire crew when non-emergency response allows.
Please note: If you are requesting a fire truck at your event, please remember that crews are in service and will be available to respond to emergency calls. Please consider this in the placement of the fire truck for ease of quick departure. They may also be arriving late due to an emergency situation.
Event requests for church carnivals, religious events or business grand openings will not be accepted.
Please allow 30 days for the special event to be processed.
