Toys collected will benefit the U.S. Marines Toys for Tots Program and the Paiute Neighborhood Center.

  • The US Marines Toys for Tots Program has a close working relationship with a number of local social welfare agencies, church groups, and other local community agencies.  Each year, donated toys are sorted at a central warehouse and distributed to the needy children of the community.
  • Paiute Neighborhood Center collaborates with several agencies and organizations to provide programs for people of all ages and cultures. Last year, almost 200 families made up of approximately 400 children were served by the Paiute Toy Program. More than 60 percent of the families served by the Paiute Center have an income under $15,000, and many of the children would not receive a gift for the holidays without support from the public.

FAQ's/Additional Toy Drive Information

What toys or gift items are in demand this year?

  • Teens - sporting equipment, ear phones, inexpensive mp3 playersgift cards, purses, jewelry, makeup, hair products
  • Infants - clothes, toys, soft books, blankets, sippy cups

Can a fire truck come to my charity/holiday event?
Scottsdale Fire Department receives a large number of requests for participation in community events, safety fairs and fundraisers.  However, a limited number of resources can be dedicated to these types of events.  Scheduling requests should be made a minimum of 30 days in advance by calling Patty Jo Angelini at (480) 312-1815 or sending an e-mail to pangelini@ScottsdaleAZ.gov.

Can SFD pick up toys collected at a work or community event?
With advance notice, we can often coordinate with our benefitting agencies and/or SFD volunteers to pick up boxes of donated toys. To schedule a pick up, please call (480) 312-1816 or send an e-mail with the event date, time, and location to tnichols@ScottsdaleAZ.gov.  You may also drop off toys collected at any fire station or the Police & Fire Headquarters Building.

Does SFD accept cash or food donations?
It is preferred that cash donations are made directly to the Toys for Tots Program or Paiute Community Center (see contact information below).  Non-perishable food items can be donated to the Vista Del Camino Food Bank at 7700 E. Roosevelt Street, Scottsdale.

What's the best time to drop off my donation?
Fire Stations are staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.  However, we encourage you to try to stop by during regular city business hours of 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.  When you arrive, please ring the door bell and/or knock on the station door to alert the firefighters you are there to make a donation.  If there is no answer, crews may be responding to an emergency call, participating in an event, or training off-site.  You may try waiting a few minutes or stopping by at a later time.  It is not advised that you leave the toys by the door or in an unsecured area.

The Police & Fire Headquarters building located at Granite Reef & Indian School is staffed 8 a.m. - 5 p.m., Monday - Friday.  Donations can be dropped off in the main lobby located on the north side of the building facing Indian School Road.

How can I contact the benefiting agencies directly?
