Scottsdale Fire Department will celebrate its 5th Anniversary on July 1, 2010. In honor of this milestone, 13 free Hands-Only CPR presentations are being offered to the public during the month of July.
During these free 90-minute presentations, individuals will learn to perform Hands-Only CPR and use an Automated External Defibrillator (AED). Hands-Only CPR is simple to do, safe, does not require mouth-to-mouth contact, and can dramatically improve a person’s chance of survival.
Since June 2008, Scottsdale Fire Department has trained more than 2,500 people in Hands-Only CPR and how to use an AED.
Advance registration is required, as space is limited. Presentations at the fire station locations are limited to individuals 10 years of age and older. To sign up, visit www.scottsdaleaz.gov/fire/HandsOnlyCPR or call (480) 312-8000.
