Scottsdale Fire Department's annual toy drive to benefit the U.S. Marines Toys for Tots Program and Paiute Community Center kicks off on Friday, Nov. 26, and will continue through Friday, Dec. 24. Residents and community members are encouraged to drop off new, unwrapped toys at one of Scottsdale’s 14 fire stations or the Witzeman Public Safety Building (8401 E. Indian School Road, Scottsdale).
Scottsdale Fire Stations are staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. However, we encourage you to try to stop by between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Upon arrival, please ring the door bell or knock on the station door to alert the firefighters you are there to make a donation. If there is no answer, crews may be responding to an emergency call. It is not advised that you leave the toys by the door or in an unsecured area. The Police & Fire Headquarters building, located at Granite Reef & Indian School, is staffed 8 a.m.-5 p.m., Monday - Friday. Donations can be dropped off in the main lobby located on the north side of the building facing Indian School Road.

Two special community events will also be held to collect toys and donations for the Paiute Neighborhood Center:
Flapjacks at the Firehouse – On Saturday, Dec. 4, from 8 to 10:30 a.m., Scottsdale Fire Station #1 (2857 N. Miller Road) will host a pancake breakfast. Event is free; donations for young children (ages 0-3 years) and teens are greatly appreciated.
Rides for Toys – The North Scottsdale Target (15444 N. Frank Lloyd Wright Blvd) will host the annual “Rides for Toys” event from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 11. Children (and adults) will get a ride around the parking lot in exchange for a donated toy or gift item. Free car seat checks and safety information will also be available.
