Certification Classes
The Scottsdale Fire Department offers CPR and First Aid certification classes for the community. All classes are offered at Scottsdale Fire Headquarters at 8401 E. Indian School Rd. in Scottsdale. Class sizes are a minimum of 8 and a maximum of 20.

Basic CPR and AED |

This course is intended for community members and people who do not work in the healthcare field but are required to or just desire to have CPR & AED knowledge and skills. CPR instruction will include infant, child and adult. |
Instruction offered on Saturdays from 8:30 am-12:30 pm. |

First Aid |

This course is intended for individuals who require or desire elementary adult and child first aid knowledge and skills. Ideal for employee emergency response teams, school bus drivers, adult residential care personnel, child care workers, teachers, parents and babysitters. |

CPR for Professionals |
$32 |
This course is intended for healthcare providers, first responders, and professional rescuers in and outside the hospital or for those needing professional level basic life support training as a job requirement. |
Instruction is from 8:30 am - 12:30 pm and offered on the following dates: May 11, 2010 Sept. 11, 2010 |
| Child & Babysitter Safety |
$37 |
This course is designed for young adults who will be babysitting or providing child and infant care. The program will teach the importance of responsibility, recognizing an emergency, emergency action steps, personal safety, fire safety, water safety, infant care, and also basic first aid and choking management. |
Classes are held from 9am - 3 pm with a break for lunch. Please bring a sack lunch! Upcoming class dates include: Nov. 7, 2009 June 5, 2010 Nov. 6, 2010 |
