Nov, 29 Firefighters serve pancakes for toys on Dec. 4
 Come enjoy a delicious pancake breakfast and hot coffee from 8 to 10:30 a.m., Saturday, Dec. 4, at Scottsdale Fire Station #1 (2857 N. Miller Road). The free family event will help support the fire department’s annual holiday toy drive and benefit the Paiute Neighborhood Center.

 On Nov. 9, the Scottsdale City Council voted to adopt a new ordinance that prohibits the use of consumer fireworks within city of Scottsdale limits, sets penalties and liability related to the use of fireworks, and requires businesses selling consumer fireworks to display signage advising the use of such items is not allowed within city limits.
