Downtown Scottsdale, historically known as Scottsdale’s most popular attraction, is rich with character, charm and culture and is defined in 7 distinct districts for all to enjoy.

Fashion Square

Camelback Road west of Scottsdale Road

Scottsdale Fashion Square is the Southwest’s distinctive address for premier shopping, dining and entertainment. Scottsdale Fashion Square is the largest shopping destination in the Southwest, offering a collection of more than 225 retailers including the only Neiman Marcus, the first Nordstrom, the newest Macy’s and the largest Dillard’s in the country. Barney's-New York will join Scottsdale Fashion Square's family of fine stores with a scheduled opening in the Fall of 2009. Scottsdale Fashion Square boasts nearly 50 stores exclusive to Arizona such as Burberry, Dana Buchman, kate spade, Louis Vuitton, MaxMara, Sephora and Tiffany & Co. Scottsdale Fashion Square also offers a host of entertainment and dining opportunities including five restaurants plus 18 specialty food selections. Waterfront

Scottsdale and Camelback Roads

In the heart of Scottsdale’s emerging downtown canal bank district, Scottsdale Waterfront will be the charming, must-see link between 5th Avenue and Scottsdale Fashion Square. Scottsdale Waterfront is the perfect place to dine at fabulous restaurants, shop at unique boutiques and retail shops and stroll along the banks of the Arizona Canal. Entertainment District

East of Buckboard Trail from 6th Avenue to Camelback Road

After a full day of shopping, this special area of Downtown. Scottsdale is the perfect place to relax and unwind over a great meal. Dining alternatives are varied here, ranging from the exotic to the traditional. As evidenced by its name, the Entertainment District also features a broad array of nightclubs, offering residents and visitors alike who have an abundance of energy, numerous opportunities to extend their fun well into the evening.

5th Ave. Shops & Boutiques

The 5th Avenue Arts District combines the ambience of Old Scottsdale with some of Arizona’s best restaurants, unique shops, salons, contemporary art and Native American galleries, upscale jewelers and nightlife. Over 35 eating establishments and 80 specialty shops are within a five minute walk of the famous Bob Parks’ Horse Fountain, one of Arizona’s most photographed spots. Visit 5th Avenue for a daytime shopping and dining experience, an afternoon being pampered in our salons, or an exciting evening at the nightspots along our storybook street. This District is undergoing a revitalization process as part of the Waterfront/South Canal Bank projects.

Brown & Stetson Businesses

When you’re looking to take care of business in Downtown Scottsdale, look no further than the Brown & Stetson District. Featuring an enclave of established businesses, this area provides a full complement of professional and personal services interspersed with unique shops and restaurants, as well as first-rate hotels.

Scottsdale Arts District

West side of Scottsdale Road from Main Street to 3rd Avenue

Home to the country’s original “Art Walk,” each Thursday evening this area of Downtown Scottsdale features one of the largest concentration of galleries in the country, showcasing artwork ranging from the most traditional to cutting-edge contemporary. Main Street features an eclectic collection of art, jewelry, and book stores in addition to shops selling antiques from the West and around the world. Marshall Way is host to fine arts and crafts galleries, along with world-renowned jewelry stores and spas. Galleries and shops in this district not only draw art collectors, but also those looking for that perfect addition to their home or wardrobe.

Old Town District

Want to experience a taste of the Old West? A stroll through Old Town takes you back to the original Scottsdale, the heart of the “West’s Most Western Town” that began more than 100 years ago. Amidst designated historic buildings you will find the perfect treasures from western wear, books, galleries, home decor, Southwest jewelry, restaurants and plenty of nightlife options.

Civic Center Mall (Plaza)

East side of Brown Avenue from Osborn to Indian School Roads

This pedestrian-friendly district includes the Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts, the Civic Center Library with a wonderful Children’s library, the Giant's Spring Training facility and the city’s historical City Hall with stained glass in its ceiling.
