The community’s vision for the future of Downtown Scottsdale is that of a diverse, vibrant, and interconnected physical, social and economic environment -- a collection of sustainable, mixed-use, urban neighborhoods. The Downtown Plan will serve as a guide for decisions in the Downtown area for the next 20 years.
This draft plan proposes policies which will allow Downtown to remain a highly functional mixed-use center. The plan provides the policy framework within which the private sector and community can continue a strong leadership role in the revitalization of Downtown.
Community Input The 2008 Draft Scottsdale Downtown Plan is drawn from a community based effort, starting with the Downtown Town Hall and, over the past nine months, including input from Scottsdale’s residents, property owners, business owners, students, visitors and other stakeholders. The plan reflects this extensive community outreach process.
We Want Your Comments You are invited to review the draft plan and provide the community, city staff, Planning Commission and City Council with your comments addressing the Downtown Plan. It is extremely important that your participation continue to shape the final draft plan.
Please submit comments prior to September 17, 2008, to ensure that they will be forwarded to the Planning Commission in time for their hearing and recommendation to the City Council.
