170 Microcomputer Special Requirements

As of July 2001, the City of Scottsdale requires the 170 microcomputer to be type 170ATC/HC11.  This allows a clearly defined upgrade path to the 170ATC which meets federal advanced traffic controller requirements.   Please contact CoS Traffic Operations at 480-312-5620 or via email to Traffic Operations for a copy of the current specification.  This specification is in compliance with Oregon Department of Transportation Standard Specification for Microcomputer Traffic Signal Controller dated July 20 2000 - 170ATC and HC-11 Version.   The HC11 microprocessor board shall also meet this specification.   In order to meet this specification, the HC11 microprocessor board shall be interchangeable from the various manufacturers.
