WHAT IS IMPORTANT TO YOU?
The city's Advance Planning and Design Services division is re-engergizing one of the primary functions of the Community Design Studio which is to engage residents and community representatives in topics that will help guide Scottsdale's future design/development.
As part of this initiative and to help prepare for future community dialogues, residents are being invited to provide input on topics of interest. These topics will help the Advance Planning group identify themes/issues which would benefit from more focused dialogue. Community input will also be used to identify potential speakers and other resources that can provide more in-depth knowledge and expertise.
Some key questions that may help identify discussion topics:
- What are Scottsdale's primary assets?
- What sets Scottsdale apart from other communities?
- How can planning/design play a strategic role in addressing social, civic and economic problems?
- What would make Scottsdale a truly unique southwestern desert city? What current day examples typify the type of development we want to encourage?
- What future roles should the Community Design Studio play in the development of Scottsdale?
