Solid Waste Management staff is available to provide presentations on a variety of subjects relating to solid waste management in Scottsdale. Presentations are available to schools, individual classrooms, homeowners association groups, neighborhood groups, youth organizations, etc. Current topics for available presentations include:

This interactive presentation is approximately 30 to 45 minutes in length. Information and data on Scottsdales curbside program is featured, as well as samples of recyclables and the most common contaminants. This material can be adjusted for any age audience.

This interactive presentation is approximately 30 minutes in length. The basic steps and benefits of making compost in your own yard are featured. Compost makes a great supplement for gardens. This material can be adjusted for any age audience.

This interactive presentation is approximately 30 minutes in length. Identifying and properly disposing of hazardous materials generated in the home is featured, as well as tips on reducing generation. This material can be adjusted for any age audience.

This interactive, on-site presentation is approximately 60 minutes in length, not including travel time to the facility. Features information on facility operations and benefits to the community. This tour can be adjusted for any age audience.
