The following is a sampling of the types of vehicles the City of Scottsdale currently has equipped with compressed natural gas (CNG). Fleet Management currently purchases vehicles that are factory equipped with CNG. Previously, some of the vehicles had after market CNG kits installed prior to being placed into service.

Bio Diesel Vehicles
The City recently purchased 9 trollies, through a grant, that run on Bio Diesel fuel, which is a cleaner-burning fuel that qualifies under the alternative fuel criteria. The City’s entire fleet of diesel vehicles now uses this cleaner-burning diesel fuel.
Electric Vehicles
The City previously leased two Saturn EV1 that were recalled. We are currently evaluating the different types of Hybrid vehicles that are on the market for future lease.
