Mission
This section administers and collects privilege (sales) taxes, use taxes, transient occupancy taxes, business license taxes, special license and liquor license fees, as well as bills for alarm activations. This section is also responsible for ensuring that all businesses doing business in Scottsdale are properly licensed.

About Us
Tax and License Registration is responsible for the licensing of businesses, including Transaction Privilege (Sales) Tax License (all businesses with taxable activity), Business, Occupational and Professional Licenses (service businesses); Liquor Licenses; Solicitation Permits (charitable and profit),  Valet Parking, Alarm Permit/License and other regulatory licenses. Tax and License Registration is also responsible for billing the established accounts for licensing fees, as well as billing alarm activations, doing field research to ensure that all businesses in Scottsdale are properly licensed, and monitoring payments to ensure accurate reporting of sales tax.
