The Budget program is responsible for the preparation and adoption of the Citys annual budget per the terms of the Arizona Revised Statute and City Code. It coordinates the development and the ongoing monitoring of the City-wide operating and capital budgets on behalf of the City Manager. Embodied within this process is the preparation of the Five-Year Financial Plan, and assisting the Citizen Bond Review Commission, the City Council Budget Subcommittee and citizens with their questions regarding the Citys budget.

The City of Scottsdale’s budget for FY 2007/08 is comprised of three volumes:

Volume One  – Budget Summary:

This volume provides fund summaries and five-year financial plans for each of the City’s funds and an overview of the capital improvement plan. Specific capital project descriptions and further detail can be found in Volume Three.

Volume Two – Program Operating Budget:

This volume provides detailed information on each of the City’s individual programs. The specific program information includes program description, goals and objectives, customers, partners, staffing, and a summary of the program operating budgets by expenditure category and the applicable funding sources.

Volume Three – Capital Improvement Plan:

This volume provides detailed information on each of the City’s capital projects. The information includes project description, cost, geographic location, funding sources, and operating impacts.

The FY 2007/08 budget is also available on CD.
