Community Services Facilities Master Plan
What is a Master Plan?
The purpose of the Community Services Division Facilities Master Plan is to create a clear set of policies, guidelines and recommendations for the future development and placement of parks, libraries and social services facilities to accommodate the diverse and growing population of the City. The plan utilized a multifaceted citizen involvement process to determine the community’s needs, a comprehensive overview of Community Services facilities and recommendations that will provide guidance to the City’s elected officials and department staff for the future provision of new parks, libraries and social service facilities.
Community Services to present findings of resident survey
The public is invited to learn the results of a survey pertaining to Community Services programs and amenities. Feedback provided will be considered for inclusion in the Community Services Master Plan. Information will be presented on the following dates:
- Wednesday, April 22 at 3:30 p.m., Mustang Library, 10101 N. 90th St.
- Wednesday, April 22, 5:30 p.m., Boys and Girls Club Thunderbirds Branch, 20199 N. 78th Place
- Monday, April 27, 5:30 p.m., Granite Reef Senior Center, 1700 N. Granite Reef Road
- Wednesday, April 29, 5 p.m., Via Linda Senior Center, 10440 E. Via Linda
The goal of the Master Plan is to create a clear set of specific and prioritized recommendations for which services will best enhance livability and economic vitality.
A draft plan will be publicly available in May.
