Elected to one, one-year term; elected to two, two-year terms as Councilmember, but did not complete his second full term. On October 6, 1964, Bill Clayton was elected Mayor by the Council to replace John Woudenberg who had resigned as Mayor citing pressures of his business. Mayor Clayton died in office on December 21, 1965.
