Welcome to the Scottsdale City Court. Our court is the third largest municipal court in Arizona, based upon the numbers of cases filed. Our court is part of the integrated judicial system for Arizona, and serves as the judicial branch for the City of Scottsdale. Among the cases our court handles: civil traffic and misdemeanor violations, petty offenses, City ordinance and code violations and the issuance of orders of protection and injunctions against harassment.
Our mission is to serve the community by providing a dignified and professional forum for the efficient resolution of cases within the City jurisdiction. Our goal is to treat all persons equally and fairly, in accordance with the laws and the administrative authority given by the Arizona Supreme Court, so that we promote public trust and confidence in our court. We work to be efficient through the use of technology and we continually enhance our operational practices, based upon customer feedback and a review of industry best practices.
For those of you called for jury duty, we thank you, and recognize the sacrifice you are making for your community. Our goal is to make your jury service as efficient as possible. Thank you for your service with us.
A Message from Janet G. Cornell, Court Administrator
Welcome to our City Court. We have 5 judges who handle misdemeanor and criminal cases, and 2 hearing officers who preside over civil traffic cases. Our staff members are highly qualified customer service experts. We are here to serve you from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday, except for City holidays. Our phone system consists of an interactive voice response (IVR) system, and we have provided internet access for payment of the court ordered fines or obligations. Additionally, you will find information about our City Court on the court web page, including options for taking care of your citation and frequently asked questions. In our court lobby, we have also provided self service brochures. For those visiting us in person, we do encourage you to complete customer service surveys, which are found in the court lobby.
