The Desert Discovery Center Task Force is a joint committee of the McDowell Sonoran Preserve Commission and the Tourism Development Commission, and is advisory to both commissions.

The committee does not have a regular meeting schedule. Meetings are scheduled when the McDowell Sonoran Preserve Commission and the Tourism Development Commission assigns tasks to the committee or the committee determines that a meeting is necessary.
