The City of Scottsdale cannot provide referrals for professional services, but the
professional organizations that license and/or govern the professions often have referral
services.
For architects, the American Institue of Architects has an online
referral service at www.aia.org/architect_finder.
Architectural
designers are not licensed or tested so they have no governing/organizational
board to register with for us to refer clients to.
For structural engineers, the Arizona branch of the Structural
Engineer's Association has a list of engineers who will do smaller projects. www.seaoa.org -- Scroll down the column on the left & click

Contractors should be registered with the state Registrar of
Contractors, and clients can check with the Better Business Bureau for more information,
but there is no overall organization that has a referral service. Two resources that may
