Qualifications & Restrictions:
The City will design and implement improvements along the McDowell Road Corridor within the right-of-way, which will be made in several phases. Throughout the implementation phases, the City and its consultant will work closely with property owners who wish to incorporate their property frontage into the comprehensive McDowell Corridor revitalization.
The City will pay for the design of the improvements and administer the plans through the appropriate approval processes. The improvements to private property will then be built by the City’s contractor along with the public improvements, with the property owner reimbursing the City the agreed cost-sharing portion. Additionally, once the improvements are completed, the property owner will be required to maintain all landscaping onsite as well as in the right-of-way (per code).
This process results in a substantial cost-savings for participating property owners and a new, unified look for the McDowell Road Corridor.
