Purpose:

Enhance the Downtown business environment, restore and revitalize business properties and stimulate private investment, especially for smaller businesses.

On June 5, 2007 the City Council approved expansion of the boundary of the Covered Walkway and Façade Improvement Program for downtown Scottsdale.

The program provides matching funds for certain work on the exteriors of commercial properties in the defined eligibility area. Examples of eligible improvements would include replacing windows, installing new doors, plastering exterior walls, and similar improvements. Work may involve renovation or new construction.

Please Note:

• There are currently 39 projects committed to or completed under this program.
• There is approximately $170,000 funding still available of the $650,000 approved by the City Council.
• Requests for matching funds must be made by June 27, 2008.
