A Pre-Application (PA) meeting will determine what process will be required. The table of the public hearing process, provides a general guide of processing based on project type. Most projects also have requirements for Neighborhood Notification. Entitlement process will determine what Neigborhood Notification requirements will apply.
Step 1: Complete Pre-Application Form & Submit to One Stop Shop
Download and complete the Pre-Application Questionnaire (PDF/140kb/4pp)
Submit Pre-Application questionniare and application fee (includes both Pre- Application questionnaire fee and Records Packet fee) to One Stop Shop, located on the first floor of One Civic Center, Suite 105.
Step 2: Pre-Application Meeting with Project Coordinator
You will receive a phone call to schedule your pre-application meeting. The initial meeting will be likely scheduled within one week of receipt of pre-application. This meeting provides the City and the applicant a more complete understanding of the size, scope and feasibility of the request. The pre-application meeting is typically a 1/2 to 1-hour meeting in which the applicant meets with their assigned planner to discuss the project request.

Step 3: Staff Review
In reviewing the project proposal, the planner will likely address a variety of topics that may include the following:
