There are situations where an apartment complex has an existing condominium plat that has functioned as apartments and now, due to market demand, are selling them as condominiums.  There is no city conversion application since the site already has a condo plat.  A good example of this would be the Sunscape Apartments located at the Northwest corner of Osborn/Hayden.

It is important to note that while the city of Scottsdale processes condo conversion applications, the review is only the first step in initiating a conversion process.   After submitting the application, the property owner may choose to delay or forgo the conversion.  A conversion is considered finalized when the transaction is recorded with the Maricopa County Recorder not a part of the city web site.
