The fee for temp power is calculated as follows:

for single family residential the deposit is the same as the cost of the permit or $1,000.00, whichever is LESS.

for commercial project the deposit is the same as the cost of the permit or $1,000.00, whichever is GREATER.

if it's a Green Building single family residential stucture, we will waive the deposit fee.

on large commercial projects if the fee exceeds $35,000, we will accept an Irrevocable Letter of Credit from the bank.
When the project is finalled out, our office generates the paperwork for the Finance Department to issue your refund. It's an automated process.
If the deposit was paid by check, the refund is issued to whomever is reflected on the check (city policy) & in about 15 days you'd receive the refund. If the deposit was paid with a credit card, the refund is credited back to whomever posted payment & it's usually done within 24 hrs. of the project being finalled.
