Large white signs (4'X4') with the heading "Early Notification of Project Under Consideration" are posted on property that is requesting a rezoning.
A rezoning is a request to change the zoning classification of a particular lot or parcels of land. Zoning identifies different land use districts and the accompanying regulations governing the use, placement, spacing and size of land and buildings.
The city requires this sign to be posted as part of an 'early awareness' program for residents. Sign posting is required within ten (10) working days after the city receives the rezoning application.
These signs are also posted for other projects, as required by the City. This includes some Use Permit and Text Amendment cases.
In addition to the signage, the applicant mails notice to neighbors within 750-feet of the subject property. |
