Early Awareness + Informed Involvement = Quality Built Environment
The city sends out postcard notifications on a variety of proposed projects, including several types of cases that are scheduled for public hearings. The design of the postcards is such that there are six distinct sections, all of which combine to offer the reader a quick reference for projects that are currently under considerations. Below you will find a brief outline of the postcards as well as links to additional information. If you have any questions, please feel free to call our Customer Relations Office at 480-312-7800.
If you received a postcard in the mail, go to the Projects in the Public Hearing Process to obtain case-specific information.
Questions? Please call Current Planning at (480) 312-7000 or e-mail ProjectInput@ScottsdaleAZ.gov.
Color Banner. The postcards are color coded to represent the different types of public hearings.
Case Number. All City projects are assigned case numbers for easy reference. When calling or on-line at the Projects in the Public Hearing Process, refer to the case number to identify the project and obtain more information.
Description and Contact Information. The postcards offer a brief description of the project and the staff and applicant contact information. The size of the postcard does limit the amount of information we can provide, but the staff contact is always available to answer more detailed questions.
Property Location. A small map and a brief description of the location is provided to help you identify where in your neighborhood the project is located.
Hearing/Open House Information. All postcards include a meeting or hearing date, time and location where citizens can obtain more information and/or make comments on the proposal. If you are unable to attend, comments can be made via e-mail at planninginfo@scottsdaleaz.gov or by calling 480-312-7800.
Additional Information. Included on every postcard are several methods of obtaining more information on the proposal. Please feel free to use any of the methods described; we will make every attempt to accommodate any request. (Have the case number ready for faster service.)
