New Lowest Floor Elevation and FEMA Elevation Certifications
EFFECTIVE JULY 6, 2009 Lowest Floor Elevation is required to be performed by a Registered Land Surveyor or Registered Civil Engineer on all permits issued after July 5, 2009. The City of Scottsdale will continue monitoring and maintaining all administrative forms associated with the FEMA & the Lowest Floor Elevation requirements. The City of Scottsdale will post FEMA Elevation Certificates online at http://eservices.scottsdaleaz.gov/onestopshop/Fema.aspx.
- Lowest Floor Elevation #033 - Verification of lowest floor level is required to be submitted and approved after the slab has been poured and prior to #014 (Strap & Shear) inspection being scheduled. The Lowest Floor Verification form is available at www.scottsdaleaz.gov/bldgresources/forms.asp (click on "L") and shall be emailed to: elevationcertification@scottsdaleaz.gov
- FEMA Elevation Certificate #045 - Required for habitable structures within A Zones and pending A Zones (A, AO, AE, etc.) per receipt of best available data letters from FEMA, for recently studied washes. Verification of approval is required before a final Certificate of Occupancy will be issued. A Registered Land Surveyor or Registered Civil Engineer is required to submit the FEMA Elevation Certificate
to the Floodplain Administrator for approval at: elevationcertification@scottsdaleaz.gov.
