Pre-Site (42) & Final Site (31) Inspections

The purpose of the pre-site inspection is to review the approved plans, stipulations, ordinance requirements and existing site conditions with the contractor prior to commencement of construction.

A pre-site inspection must be scheduled for all new construction that involves or affects site grading and drainage, native plant salvage, NAOS, or Development Review Board stipulations.  It is not required in situations where, for example tenant improvements or remodeling projects, there are no exterior building modifications or site work that will occur as a part of the construction.

The pre-site inspection must be called in on the building permit (not the native plant permit)  prior to any site work occurring.  The exterior footing inspection cannot be scheduled until the pre-site inspection has been scheduled and approved.

The contractor should on site to review approved site plans, stipulations, etc., with the inspector.  The contractor must provide a copy of the approved site plan and approved native plant inventory (if applicable) to the Planning Inspector at the site of the pre-site inspection.  The contractor must have all NAOS roped off (if applicable), per approved plans.

The contractor will be required to sign a copy of the pre-site inspection upon completion.
