Program Objectives
- Assist Handlebar Helpers with reconditioning the bikes needed to sustain the program
- Provide an opportunity for young people to learn bicycle repair and maintenance
Rewards
- Earn a bike with your volunteer hours or repairs and upgrades for a bike you already own
- Learn all phases of bicycle repair and maintenance
- Feel great knowing that you are contributing to your community
Who Can Join
- progam is for 12 to 17 year-olds who attend school regularly
- open to only Scottsdale residents
- mechanical aptitude or experience a plus, but not required
What's Expected
- complete an application and interview process
- be able and willing to work as a member of a goal-oriented team
- meet mutually established schedule commitments
