The City of Scottsdale’s Community Assistance Office solicits for the following funding sources: Scottsdale Cares, City Funded Grants for Public Services (General Funds), Endowment Funds, Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), HOME and City Housing Funds. Qualifying organizations must be either tax exempt under Section 501(c)3 of the Internal Revenue Code or be City of Scottsdale programs.
Friday, November 21, 2008, 5:00 PM MST is the deadline for the submission of CDBG, HOME, General funds, Scottsdale Cares and Endowment Proposals.
Scottsdale Cares:
Proposals are requested for activities that promote the positive development of youth, adults and seniors, strengthen the capabilities of families and the self sufficiency of adults, or assist residents in addressing crisis needs.
City Funded Grants for Public Services (General Funds):
Eligible categories are as follows:
- Brokerage Services (agencies providing services within City of Scottsdale Human Services facilities)
- Domestic Violence Shelter Services
- Legal Services
- Regional Shelter Services
- Senior Services
Endowment Funds:
Proposals are requested for activities that support city-sponsored youth programs and non-profit services to the public.
CDBG and HOME:
These funds may be used to support housing activities and public services that improve the lives of low to moderate income people and people with special needs.
City Housing Funds:
These funds may be requested for any HOME eligible activity. The City of Scottsdale reserves the right to allocate City Housing Funds either as a local match for a HOME project or through a separate request for proposals, if deemed necessary.
Because the legitimate needs of Scottsdale’s low and moderate income population exceed the funding available, this is a very competitive process. Applications are available at the City of Scottsdale‘s Community Assistance Office, 7515 E. 1st St., or by downloading off this Internet page.
