Airport Terminal Area Construction Project

Scottsdale Airport is making roadway and parking improvements.  The Airport Terminal Area Construction began in August 2007 and is anticipated to be completed in April 2008.  The project will create the following enhancements:

ROADWAY IMPROVEMENTS

•  There will be a new three-lane roadway system to circulate vehicle traffic in front of the terminal building, where the current terminal parking exists, which will create a loop roadway system with dedicated thur-lanes and a drop off lane.

PARKING IMPROVEMENTS

•  A new airport terminal building parking lot will provide 112 spaces for vistors and a rental car pick-up row.

•  Vehicle parking adjacent to the Aviation Business Center will be expanded to 164 spaces.
•  The entire parking space availability for both parking lots will feature 276 total spaces; which is an increase of 117 spaces over what currently exists.

OTHER IMPROVEMENTS

•  New airport signage.

•  Improved desert landscaping.
