Rebates for Scottsdale CustomersRebate programs encourage the installation of water efficient plumbing fixtures and low-water-use landscapes. Applicants must comply with the procedure on the most current rebate application available on Scottsdale's Water Conservation website.
Beginning July 1, 2014 Scottsdale began a two-year pilot program to reduce the amount of salinity, or salt levels in our reclaimed water. This progam is available to Scottsdale sewer customers. Learn more.
Plumbing (Toilet and Showerhead) Rebates
Rebate incentives are offered to Scottsdale water customers for the installation of water efficient toilets (up to $75) and showerheads (up to $5) in structures built prior to January 1, 1992. Free aerators are also available to water customers. Check EPA’s WaterSense program for toilets and showerheads that have been labeled for efficiency and performance.
Hot Water Recirculation System Rebate
A hot water recirculation device allows hot water to get to the tap faster and eliminates the need to “let the water run” in order to get hot water. A minimum plumbing permit from the city is required. Scottsdale's water customers may be eligible for a rebate (up to $200) for the purchase and installation of a hot water recirculation system. (One per customer, not per property).
Turf Removal for Residential Customers
Scottsdale's single-family residential water customers may receive a rebate for converting an existing high-water-use landscape (turf) to a low-water-use landscape (Xeriscape). Rebate amount (up to $1,500) is based on the amount of turf removed and the low-water-use plants installed per property.
Turf Removal for Commercial & Residential Common Areas Rebate
Commerical, multi-family residential and residential common areas may be elibible for rebate for converting turf to a city-approved low-water-use landscape (up to $3,000). Plans must be pre-approved by Scottsdale's Planning and Development Services.
Landscape Irrigation Controller Rebate
All properties that receive water from the Scottsdale water system may receive a rebate (up to $250) for the purchase of a new multi-programmable irrigation controller. (New construction not eligible.) Consider purchasing a smart irrigation controller.
