Hummingbirds prefer narrow tubular-shaped flowers because their long beaks reach nectar at the base of the blossom.

Include plants with red, orange or pink flowers blooming in different seasons to create a year-round nectar supply. Bonus: No bird feeders to clean!

Hummingbirds need a lofty vantage point to survey their territory. Add an ocotillo to your landscape and you will soon observe a tiny silhouette perched on the tip of a stem.
  • Eliminate pesticides. They can be lethal for hummingbirds.
  • Enjoy natural insect control. These tiny birds consume up to 2,000 insects daily.
  • Place plants where you can watch birds from windows or patios.
