is an environmental artwork - a garden theater - designed to highlight water harvesting in the desert landscape. Curving hillside terraces channel water runoff down a central ridge and adjoining rib-like planters. The structure reminds us of the role of human support in a naturally arid ecosystem.

ARTIST'S STATEMENT:

Both water and humans leave their marks on the desert landscape.

The cascade expresses a metaphorical gesture that suggests water rolling down a human's back and spine, a miniature watershed. Xeriscape plantings in the rib-like, lobed terraces are selected for their marvelous colors, textures, and sculptural shapes and are intended to inspire desert homeowners.
