The physical demands of the position require applicants to be in good heath.  Individuals should consult with a medical or health professional before beginning any new exercise, nutrition, or supplementation program or if any personal health questions arise after reviewing the contents of this guide.

The Scottsdale Police Department's Physical Performance Requirements are:​

These physical performance requirements are set at the minimum to pass the City of Scottsdale testing process. The overall fitness test encompasses use of a gymnasium floor and outdoor running track.  For safety reasons, the use of all forms of music devices is prohbited during the testing process. 

If you successfully complete the entire testing process and are selected to attend the academy, these performance requirements will need to be improved significantly in order to pass the academy.
