The investigation has relealed that Daniel Peralta fatally shot his wife while she slept. He then turned the gun on himself and took his own life. We have uncovered evidence that the couple had been arguing the night before. There have been no prior reports to police of domestic violence.

The victims' son called SPD and reported that his parents had been shot. Officers arrived and found an adult male and an adult female dead in the home from apparent gunshot wounds. The 23 yr old son reported that he was awakened by the sound of shots. When he looked around the house, he found his mother and father deceased. He then called police to report it.
At this point in the investigation, police believe that it is a domestic violence incident. It is unknown who is responsible for each death. The son is cooperating with the investigation.
